Nous avons fait aujourd'hui un tour au paradis ! Levés à l'aube, nous avons quitté Benicarlo, croisé des dauphins et mis le cap sur les Iles Columbretes. Et quelle bonne idée ! Ce microscopique archipel est un véritable joyau. Une fois sur place, après avoir parcouru un peu plus de 30 milles, on a l'impression de mouiller au milieu de nulle part. La isla grande, la seule où il est autorisé de faire halte, paraît encore plus petite que l'on peut l'imaginer sur les cartes marines. C'est tout exités que nous avons pris une des bouée de la petite baie sur le coup de 13 h15. Et on ne peut pas dire qu'il y avait foule : il y avait seulement un autre voilier au mouillage!
Aussitôt accrochés à la bouée, chacun s'est précipité sur son matériel de plongée et a enfilé sa combinaison, l'eau n'étant pas encore vraiment à une température tropicale. Bon, nous allons être honnêtes, elle était à quasiment 22°c... Mais chez les François, nous sommes tous frileux et en dessous de 24-25°c, c'est la ruée vers les combinaisons. Nous avons mis un terme à cette halte magique à 16h. Nous avons alors à nouveau mis le cap sur le continent et plus particulièrement sur Castellon de la Plana. Rester sur les Columbretes, voire mettre le cap sur Ibiza, ne nous aurait pas déplu. Mais les prévisons météos annoncent du Nord-est puis du Nord-ouest modéré (force 4 à 5) et de la pluie. Or, le mouillage des Columbretes est ouvert au Nord-est et peut vite devenir un enfer dans ces conditions. Aller sur Ibiza, distante d'un peu plus de 60 milles, n'était pas fameux, le temps là-bas n'étant pas plus accueillant à partir de demain. Nous avons donc choisi de revenir sur la côte espagnole et de poursuivre notre descente vers le sud tant qu'il ne fera pas beau. Les enfants en profiteront pour poursuivre leur travail scolaire et ce ne sera pas du superflu, car dès que nous naviguons, l'école devient on ne peut plus buissonnière...
